DIAGNOSTICS

Could an undiagnosed illness or injury be bothering your pet?

When people get sick or injured, they go to the doctor, discuss their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With animals, it’s not always this straightforward. Because our pets can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is wrong.

What’s more, many animals are capable of hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.

Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and address health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Laboratory

The convenient on-site diagnostic laboratory at V.E.T. Care Hospital makes it quick and easy to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have results in just minutes. This means we can develop a treatment plan before you and your pet even leave the exam room.

Imaging

When a physical exam and lab testing aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools let us assess the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

Digital images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet has been acting a little out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Contact V.E.T. Care Hospital right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging technology provides the doctors at V.E.T. Care Hospital with a non-invasive way to learn what’s happening inside your pet’s body. This enables us to more accurately diagnose potential health concerns. Ultrasound imaging is safe, painless, and produces instant, digital images that allow us to determine how your pet’s body is functioning.

Some of the many conditions ultrasound can be used to evaluate and diagnose include:

  • Heart disease
  • Tumors
  • Bladder and/or kidney stones
  • Diseases of the organs (liver, kidney, gall bladder, etc.)
  • Gastrointestinal concerns

V.E.T. Care Hospital is pleased to offer ultrasound imaging as part of our comprehensive diagnostic services. To schedule an imaging appointment, contact us today.
